Do I need a PID controller?

Yes. These units rely on an external PID controller to precisely regulate the heat. All of our kits include compatible PID controllers and coils to ensure you're fully setup out of the box.

What are the “balls” inside the heater for?

The thermal balls (ruby, quartz, etc.) store and distribute heat evenly, ensuring smooth vaporization. You can even experiment with different types to fine-tune flavor and performance.
Can I use this with any glass piece?

All QaromaShop bowls are available to fit standard 14mm female joints as well as bigger 18mm/19mm joints. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions on compatibility, or are looking for the perfect Everyday Glass Piece to complete your desktop setup.
