What are dab tools for?
In the simplest terms a dab tool is just something you use to pick up your concentrates without getting your hands sticky. Whether it's shaped like a knife, a scoop or something else you grab one end while dipping the other in your hash container. Dab tools are used to handle and apply concentrates like wax, shatter, or oil onto a heated surface (nail or banger) for vaporization during dabbing. These tools help ensure safe and precise handling of sticky or fragile extracts without making a mess or wasting product.
What types of dab tools are there?
Dab tools come in various shapes and materials, each designed for different types of concentrates. Common shapes include;

What are dab tools made from?
High-quality dab tools are typically made from heat-resistant materials like stainless steel, titanium, glass, or ceramic. Some are coated with non-stick materials such as silicone to make handling sticky concentrates easier, however we like to use silicone dab tools to transfer our hash and make sure that we never touch them to a hot banger.
Do I really need a dab tool?
Yes, using a proper dab tool is essential for a safe and enjoyable dabbing experience. It allows you to portion your concentrate accurately and keeps your hands clean and away from the hot nail or banger, reducing the risk of burns.
How do I clean a dab tool?
The easiest way to clean off your dab tool is to soak it in isopropyl alcohol, however this doesn't work for all dab tools such as hot knives which have electronic components that can't be submerged in liquid. For all glass, titanium and stainless steel tools we like to clean them off with isopropyl alcohol. For hot knives we generally just use the heat to clean off the tip, however you can use an alcohol wipe if any concentrates drip onto the handle.
